It’s always cool to see a musician — or any celebrity for that matter — doing something to make a fans day. Ed Sheeran hit that note recently when he surprised 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau who was performing his hit “Thinking Out Loud” at a mall for a school fundraiser.
While Sydney was in the middle of her performance, Ed just casually walked up on stage and joined her. To her credit, she did not act like a 13-year-old girl when he showed up, but held it together and performed with him. Maybe it was because she didn’t realize who it was at first. Via the the Edmonton Journal:
“‘I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,’ she said. ‘This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me…I was so happy that he did that,’ Bourbeau said through tears. ‘It was incredible.’”
Ed’s cousin, Murray Cummings, originally posted this video.

Way to go, Ed.
Later in the evening, Ed’s manager texted Sydney and invited her and guest to Sheeran’s show that evening in town.
