The “Modern Family” bombshell Sofia Vergara said she will streak down Sunset Boulevard if her show wins the Emmy for “Outstanding Comedy Series”. Even though the show is up for 14 Emmy’s in all, this will be the only one that counts in the minds of most men in America. They are going up against “Glee,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Nurse Jackie,” “The Office” and “30 Rock”. All of those shows are worthy competitors with Glee probably the favorite. Glee is also the only one I don’t watch but everyone else in American does.
This is not something that Sofia Vergara said on the sidewalk or anything either. Bosses at ABC put a “for your consideration” ad in Variety with claim. Vergara, when asked about it, did not shy away from her task.
“You know what, that’s ridiculous. I cannot run; I have bad knees. I was planning to do that, you know the sport where they… speed walk. But that’s what I’m going to do. I’m not going to run.”
So there you have it, she will not be running but walking. This is even better because now all of you guys snapping pictures won’t have the motion blur. The 62nd Annual Emmy Awards will be August 29th and hosted by Jimmy Fallon. Fingers crossed that the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences reads this.
