This week’s hump day helper is Danneel Harris. Danneel was born in Lafayette Louisiana but unfortunately doesn’t have that southern accent that drives us up a wall. In place of the southern accent is the next best thing though, her oddly spelled name. You know we dig it when a girl has a name that makes you think (winking at you, Emmanuelle Chriqui). Her given name is Elta, named after her grandmother, but she has always gone by her middle name Danneel. Her stomach that screams “body shots” helps her cause too. Some of you may recognize Danneel as Rachel from The CW’s One Tree Hill. Sorry to disappoint you but I have no idea what that is. What I do know is that Danneel was in Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay. She played the part of Vanessa, Kumar’s love interest, and you will be happy to know that it is rumored that she will be reprising her role in the upcoming A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas. From what I have read she is also in the new Jennifer Lopez movie The Back Up Plan. I hope doing a J.Lo movie doesn’t do to her career what it did to Ben Affleck’s (Casey Affleck’s brother for those of you who don’t remember him).
