Vancouver is full of idiots

Last night the Boston Bruins took home Lord Stanley after dominating the Vancouver Canucks in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.  What happened after was jaw dropping to say the least.  The Canuck fans decided it was in their best interest to start to destroy their OWN city.  In one of the most moronic acts in recent memory, these fans burned cars, looted stores, assaulted each other and assaulted police officers.  The video footage has become addicting today and it’s a shame because today, as well as the days ahead, should be focused on Boston.  Instead we will no doubt be inundated with the footage of these hooligans who feel the best way to show disappointment at the end of a season is to destroy the place many of them call home.  If that wasn’t enough, at least one (I’m sure there are more) fan decided to brag on Facebook about his events of the evening.

“Maced in the face, hit with a batton [sic], tear gassed twice, 6 broken fingers, blood everywhere, punched a fucken [sic] pig in head with riot gear on knocked him to the ground, through [idiot] the jersey on a burning cop car flipped some cars, burnt some smart cars, burnt some cop cars, I’m on the news…One word…History 🙂 🙂 :))”

Upon further inspection of said persons profile, he had actually changed his profile picture to one of him standing on top of a flipped car.  I’m not sure there has been a word invented yet to clearly state the stupidity of this person.  Yes, he might have done all of that but for what reason?  Because his team choked and lost the Stanley Cup after being up 2 games to none?  Burning your jersey?  Go for it.  Burning your city?  Get a life.

The best part is that any injuries he sustained will be taken care of on Canada’s dime because of their health care system, which clearly a lot of people in Vancouver do not deserve.

This particular video has an interview with what seems are the only two sane Canucks fans in Vancouver.  Note: They are Americans, go figure.
