Urban Meyer to step down at Florida

Urban Meyer has reported to Fansided.com that he will step down as the head coach at the University of Florida.  A press conference is scheduled for later today so we might get some kind of explanation for his departure (part 2).  Early indications are that his decision is based on his health since he checked into a hospital the week of the Georgia game.  Others will insist that Urban Meyer will be pursuing the open coaching job in Denver so as to continue molding Tim Tebow into God's gift to women.

The press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST tonight.

Meyer compiled a 64-15 record at Florida that included 2 national titles.  He will coach his last game with the Gators in the Outback Bowl January 1st.
