Former coach of the Florida Gators and two time national champion Urban Meyer has accepted the head coaching position at The Ohio State University, per his agent Trace Armstrong. Meyer had been working at ESPN as a game analyst and was noticeably absent this week in Columbus.
Rumors have been swirling for the past couple weeks of a Meyer hire but no one could absolutely confirm. There have been reports that he agreed in principle for a deal for 7 years, $40 million. Also in the agreement was the budget to put together the highest paid coaching staff in college football. This coaching staff would retain current head coach, Luke Fickell.
