Former Ohio State and Cleveland Brown quarterback Mike Tomczak was arrested this afternoon for domestic violence.  He was arrested at his home in Bell Acres after his wife phoned the authorities.  Brian Brown, Police Chief for Bell Acres said that Tomczak “lunged at his wife, grabbed her and stepped on her foot”.  Tomczak was charged with two counts of simple assault and was released on his own recognizance after his arraignment before District Judge Robert Ford.  According to authorities, Tomczak did not hit his wife.

Tomczak helped call the Ohio State spring game this past weekend on the Big Ten Network.  This event is almost synonymous with Mike Tomczak because of the 1984 spring game where his leg was broken after an option play.
