Former NFL and UNLV star quarterback Randall Cunningham’s son Christian Cunningham, who would have been 3 years old this December, died at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Las Vegas after being found floating in the families hot tub. The tragedy, to abuse and neglect dectectives, appeared to be an accident. There was a women at the house looking after several children when she found the boy around 4:30 pm on Tuesday.
Randall Cunningham was believed to be in or on his way back from San Diego at the time of his son’s death. In 2004 Cunningham became an ordained minister and in that same year he opened Remnant Ministries, where he is the pastor. Cunningham is largely considered the greatest player in UNLV history, throwing for over 8,000 yards. Cunningham is also the grandfather of the mobile quarterback in the NFL. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family in this awful time.
