Regis Philbin Makes Return to Daily Television with New Fox Sports 1 Show

It’s has been quite some time since Regis Philbin has been on our televisions daily but that will all change in mid-August.  With the launch of the new Fox Sports 1 channel comes Regis Philbin’s new show “Crowd Goes Wild”.  According to the New York Post it will be a sports round table show.

“Crowd Goes Wild” will air from a new studio at Chelsea Piers. Airing weekdays at 5 p.m., it will feature Philbin in the moderator’s role (think Barbara Walters on “The View”), with five others (give or take) participating in the roundtable discussion.

Although the Post said that Philbin’s co-hosts haven’t been named yet, Twitter is telling a different story.

The former Speed Round host at Katie Nolan just tweeted out a picture of herself, fellow YouTube “Sports. Kosta. Basement” show host Michael Kosta and the man himself Regis Philbin.

No other co-hosts have been named as of yet.  Fox Sports 1 officially will launch on Saturday, August 17th with “Crowd Goes Wild” premiering on Monday, August 19 at 5p.m.

UPDATE: Per the Twitter of Georgie Thompson (shwing, btw), the other hosts will be her, Jason Gay from the Wall Street Journal and former NFL defensive end Trevor Pryce.

Breaking News… I’m crossing the pond to join the fab @katienolan @jasonWSJ @michaelkosta @Trevor_Pryce and Regis for @CGW. Beyond excited!
