Rally Together. For the first time in a long time — the first time since 1968 — all 30 MLB teams will Rally Together and open the season on the same day.
That’s right. If Mother Nature won’t allow spring to come, then March 29 will have to do it. The 2018 MLB season will force Spring to happen, no matter how much of a strong hold winter has on most of the country.
The Cleveland Indians appear ready to go with most everyone firing on all cylinders. Brandon Guyer (wrist) and Michael Brantley (ankle) are progressing well, with the latter making his debut with the team today and projected to make the opening day lineup. The Tribe will start their season on the west coast with three game sets in Seattle and Anaheim to start the 2018 campaign. They will travel home for their April 6th home opener showdown against Central Division rival Kansas City Royals. The rest of their 2018 schedule seems to be favorable too.
There was a lot of unfinished business with the Cleveland Indians in 2016 (still hurts) and 2017 (still shocked). Perhaps 2018 is the year they can bring it all together. With their opportunity window closing rapidly, they may not have another choice.
