Kyle Orton Retiring, ‘Calling It A Day’

Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton is hanging up his cleats and “calling it a day.”

The day after the 2014 NFL season ended, there are a lot of teams with a lot of questions. The New York Jets fired Rex Ryan and John Idzik and now need to find a new head coach and general manager. The Falcons dropped the hammer on head coach Mike Smith and the Bears are in the same boat after firing Marc Trestman.

The Bills, though, have a much tougher situation. They need to find a quarterback to throw to Sammy Watkins. With Kyle Orton retiring, they now have only E.J. Manuel on their bench. Even worse than that? Cleveland owns their first round pick in the 2015 draft.

Orton went 7-5 for the Bills this season after replacing Manuel week five. Since 2005, Orton had previous stints with the Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.
