Back in the early 2000’s, there was a legend brewing at the University of Kentucky. The legend of the Pillsbury Throwboy, the Hefty Lefty, Jared Lorenzen. At 6’4″, 260 pounds, he wasn’t your typical Division I college quarterback.
At 6’4″, 320 pounds, he’s not your typical quarterback. Period.
However true that last statement is, the Northern Kentucky River Monsters are ignoring it to the best of their ability. That’s right, that White Vince Wilfork is actually Jared Lorenzen and he is actually playing quarterback.

Though he may be the size of a lineman, he has the feet of Darren Sproles (stretch). Check out the videos of Lorenzen in action below. I especially love the one where he “leaps” into the endzone. How did it take us this long to unearth these? Shame on us. All of us.
I say good for him. He has a Super Bowl ring (on the roster with the Giants in 2007) and he is 10 years removed from Kentucky and still playing football. I’m sure any of us would take that.
