The Chanel No. 5 commercial featuring Brad Pitt in black and white is odd, to say the least. The commentary he spews does nothing for the Chanel brand and, at times, begs one to wonder if Brad Pitt is actually comprehending what he is saying. I find it hard to believe he knows what he is saying because he is saying it with a straight face. Also he doesn’t have a “wtf?” look on his face like everyone else who watches it and we know he isn’t a good actor. Therefore, I can only conclude that Brad was temporarily blinded by the fact that Chanel paid him $7 million to do this commercial.

Here’s a short list of things I would do for $7 million.
1.) Clean the cat’s litter box. By hand. For life.
2.) Give you my all of my toes on my left foot.
3.) Watch “Here comes Honey Boo-Boo”
4.) Have web filtering software on all my computers.
5.) Use only dial up internet for life.
I could go on, but this isn’t about me. It actually isn’t about Brad Pitt or the money either. It’s about Taran Killam’s portrayal of Brad Pitt on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. He did a fantastic job of capturing the stupidity of this commercial. Stopping at one point and asking someone off camera “I’m sorry is there really no script? Because I’ve been talking to myself for like 2 hours straight and I’m starting to sound insane”. Check out the video below and compare it with the video from above. Great work again, SNL.
