Fox News Says There’s A ‘Chance’ The Super Bowl Will Be Canceled

Fox and Friends this  morning decided to start the week off with a giant, heaping helping of fearmongering. Like many news outlets, Fox knows the best way to grab the attention of their audience is unfounded fear.

In their report, they claim that if Congress does not re-authorize the terrorism risk insurance act, there is a chance the NFL will have to cancel the Super Bowl.

The terrorism insurance act, in a nutshell, was enacted after 9/11 and is a risk-sharing partnership between the government and the insurance agencies. This act makes terrorism insurance available to businesses and organizers of large events, like…ding, ding, ding…the Super Bowl.

Also, there is a chance the way Lauren Simonetti says the word “insurance” will drive you up a wall.
